A collaboration between Norfolk CC, Eurovia on behalf of National Highways, Siemans, Gallagher Group and UK Power Networks (UKPN).
UKPN’s scheme was to install two HV circuits over 4.5km running between the 8th May 2023 and 29th Feb 2024.
Norfolk CC identified other parties working in the same location and night works were agreed to limit disruption. The combined works of 286m with Eurovia, National highways, rebuilding a junction and fixing streetlights saved 54 days of street works disruption.
Commentary on communication with local stakeholders:
An outlined plan was discussed with the National Highways a to discuss dates required, shared communications with a letter drop for local residents before works started outlining the dates and benefit of minimising disruption.
