Scheme background: The project was SGN and Thames Water/Morrison water services working collaboratively in the same area. Although the works were within the Southwark Borough.
Between the planned conference calls, TW, Morrison water services and ourselves held other meetings to keep the momentum up and had both organisations discussing roles & responsibilities, such as cost sharing, TM plans, who excavates and who reinstates the area. We also shared 4-way traffic lights on Woodfarrs.
The project started on 9th January 2023 and took approximately 140 days to complete Thames water works. SGN had started on site on 3rd February and completed their work by 10th March, SGN carried out mains insertions and installed 251m of 180mm PE and abandoned 248.5m of 8” Abandonment. Some of service excavations had TW assets in them so they took over those and reinstated them. We backfilled and reinstated the excavations related to the rest of SGN works and TW continued to complete their works.
