Summary
Documents
As the volume of renewable generation increases in order to deliver the UK decarbonisation challenge then given the likely types of low carbon generation, the overall system inertia is likely to progressively decrease leading to a higher demand for spinning reserve.
Objectives
To assist with addressing this challenge, it is proposed to investigate how distribution network operators can quickly and economically provide demand response services to the transmission system operator to manage frequency.
