NIA Governance Documents

Energy companies receive limited Ofgem funding for innovation projects as part of the energy network price control. This is called the Network Innovation Allowance (NIA).

The NIA funds projects that have the potential to:

• assist in the energy system transition
• benefit consumers in vulnerable situations

To be eligible, projects must meet the requirements set out in the NIA Governance Document listed below:
