Scheme Background
The project involved a collaboration between UK Power Networks (UKPN) and Thames Water working together in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, reducing disruption by 19 days.
UKPN’s work formed part of a larger 1km project to connect 11kV permanent electricity supplies.
Communication with Local Stakeholders
UKPN met with Thames Water, Kensington and Chelsea Council, and Hammersmith & Fulham Council to coordinate works around Thames Water’s road closures and to share traffic management and communication plans, saving 58 days of disruption.
UKPN delivered letters to residents, while Thames Water displayed collaboration signs to inform the public about the works.
Additional consideration was given to maintaining access to the train station during the project.
