Scheme Background
The project involved a collaboration between UK Power Networks (UKPN), Cadent, and Thames Water in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, reducing disruption by five days.
UKPN’s work formed part of the wider Whitechapel Road project installing new electricity connections and reinstatement of the shared trench.
Cadent completed shared trench works for a disconnection while Thames Water installed a a new service connection.
Communication with Local Stakeholders
Tower Hamlets and Transport for London (TfL) supported the collaboration and coordinated meetings to align planned works and share traffic management plans.
UKPN delivered letters to update residents and businesses on the proposed works.
