The Energy Innovation Basecamp is the first in a series of events which bringing together Ofgem, Energy Networks Association, Innovate UK and all the GB electricity and gas networks to gain insights from innovators on how we can achieve a concise goal: to deliver a net zero power system by 2035.

We want you! For this event we are looking for the most ambitious and brazen innovators from industry, government, suppliers, generators, aggregators, large energy users, consumer representative groups across energy, utilities and beyond.

We are looking for diverse perspectives and expertise to help us understand what the setbacks and obstacles have been so far in developing, delivering and embedding innovations.

The aim will be to explore ‘Energy Network Problem Statements’ which can provide clear direction and focus for energy innovation funding streams such as the Strategic Innovation Fund and Network Innovation Allowance.

This event will include a line-up of leading figures from energy networks giving quick-fire pitches of their innovation challenges that need your solutions, as well as dedicated time for Q & A. The floor is open for you to submit any questions you like and test your ideas with subject matter experts. So come along, join the effort, and embark on delivering a net zero UK power system together!

Topics on the day will centre around:
